Argument leaves man shot, seriously injured

A 43-year-old man from Dingli was seriously injured this morning after allegedly being shot at during an argument.

The police were informed of the case at around 6.30am on Wednesday, after a wounded man turned up at the Mosta Health Centre.

Preliminary investigations uncovered that the victim had been involved in an argument with another man in the San Gabku area of Dingli, which led to him receiving a gunshot wound.

A 53-year-old man, also from Dingli, was apprehended by the police and is being kept under arrest in connection with the case.

Duty Magistrate Neville Camilleri ordered an inquiry on the incident, and has appointed several experts to assist him.

Police investigations are ongoing.
