Woman run over by own car

A woman from Nadur was seriously injured after she was hit by her own car on the Coast Road on Monday morning. 

The incident occurred at 9am when the 32-year-old woman was standing outside her Peugeot 807, the police said.

Preliminary investigations indicated that the vehicle rolled forward suddenly, hitting its driver and injuring her seriously in the legs.

An ambulance took the victim to Mater Dei Hospital for further treatment. She was later certified to have sustained serious injuries.

Police investigationa are ongoing.
