Woman critically injured after being hit by car in Hamrun

A 31-year-old British woman was critically injured on Tuesday morning after she was run over by a car in Hamrun.

The accident happened at 7.30am in Triq il-Kappillan Mifsud, with the victim having been hit by a Toyota Corolla which was being driven by a 71-year-old man from Marsaxlokk.

The woman was taken to Mater Dei Hospital for treatment, where it was determined that she was in critical condition.

Police investigations are ongoing.
