Wanted Englishman arrested by police

A 55-year-old English man for whom a European Arrest Warrant had been issued, was arrested by the police on Friday.

In a statement, the police said that days of investigation by the police’s Criminal Intelligence Unit, as well as district police, had resulted in the man being arrested in Gozo.

The police noted that among the Criminal Intelligence Unit’s roles, was tracing and arresting wanted individuals.  

The man is expected to be charged in court over the next two days.
