A 29-year-old man from Somalia was critically hurt on Friday after he was involved in an accident at the reverse osmosis Plant in Pembroke.

The accident happened at around 10.20, the police, and took place when the victim was hit by some stones.

The man was taken to Mater Dei Hospital for treatment, with his injuries later being found to be serious in nature.

Magistrate Marse-Ann Farrugia was informed of the case, and appointed several experts to assist in the inquiry which she started.

Police investigations are ongoing.
