Elderly lady seriously injured after falling down the stairs

A 60-year-old lady fell down the stairs in a building in Naxxar. She is suffering from serious injuries, Police have said.

The incident took place at around 6pm on Friday when the woman, from Iklin, was climbing the stairs in an unspecified building on Triq il-Kantilena in Naxxar.

The woman purportedly fell down the stairs as she was climbing it, Police have said. She was immediately taken to hospital after the police went on site.

Police investigations are ongoing.
