More Air Malta options for voters abroad

Air Malta is offering more options to Maltese eligible voters living abroad to travel to Malta to vote in the upcoming referendum of the 28th May.

Malta’s national airline will be operating an extra flight London Gatwick – Brussels – Malta on Friday, 27 May.  Flight KM3123 will depart London Gatwick Airport at 1855 hours UK time to Brussels.  It will then leave Brussels Airport at 2135 hours local time and will land in Malta at 0030 hours local time on Saturday 28 May.

Air Malta flight to Luxemburg KM3426 / 28 May announced last week, has been re-timed to leave Malta at 1630 hours local time and will fly via Brussels and afterwards proceed to Luxemberg.  The flight will land in Brussels Airport at 1925 hours local time.  It will later proceed to Luxemburg where it is expected to land at 2050 hours local time.  Passengers booked to travel to Luxemburg on this particular flight are kindly requested to note new departure time.

Booking for these flights are to be made through Air Malta’s International Call Centre on numbers (00356) 23645321 and are only available to clients who have not yet taken advantage of these special arrangements.

Air Malta is also taking reservations of these flights from its Sales Office at Malta International Airport and from its sales office in Rabat, Gozo.

As announced, the scheme applies to eligible voters whose names appear on last October’s Electoral Register, including those married to foreigners, studying, working or undergoing medical treatment abroad and also to their dependents (under 18 years of age).

Reservations may not be changed and tickets are non-refundable. All relevant details that include names and surnames as per passport, ID card, address on ID card, email addresses, credit cards details and contact phone numbers (including mobile number) will be required at the booking stage prior authorisation of any ticket issuance. Details for dependents should include age, followed by date of birth.

john67, perhaps their families collected the document for them when they received theirs. Perhaps they know about this and would consider the final option of coming over. Who knows? They have a right to vote too if they want to exercise that right.

Can anyone tell me why these people are coming over, if they have not collected, personally, the voting document by tomorrow midnight. Are they coming over for a holiday or is Air Malta pulling their legs.
