[WATCH] Students out in droves to welcome Labour leader in Naxxar

Joseph Muscat tries his hand at a spot of basketball... but he hasn't played in 10 years.

He's not much of a baller... but Joseph Muscat tried his hand at a lob in the Naxxar Higher Secondary's basketball court, where he met some very 'worshipful' students together with the junior education minister Clyde Puli.

"I haven't played basketball in 10 years," Muscat said, as a disclaimer inside the court.

Elsewhere on the Higher Secondary campus, Muscat was greeted by chants of "Malta taghna lkoll" (Malta for all), 'We want Joseph' and 'We want change'.

Adding to the rock-star treatment were the continuous requests by students to have Muscat sign his biography and party manifesto. He also stopped for a short interview with the school's magazine.

First we had Cassar following Joseph. Today we had Puli following him. Who will be next to follow the leader?

It is enthrilling to hear students chanting a patriot slogan.

What's that clownish fellow doing there? Copying his peers? Let me tell him to shut his trap and change his style completely when discussing responsible politics, as he has no idea of the hollowness that comes out his mouth, especially on TV.

Looks like copying has become endemic in gonzipn, Clyde Puli copying Joe Cassar who rushed to the blood bank when he heard that Joseph would be visiting the place. Looks like gonzipn candidates would rather bask in Joseph's glory than gonzi's failure. What was Clyde's excuse for showing up at Joseph's visit.

Parliamentary Secretary Clyde Puli was completely ignored. Puli expected to become minister only last December when Tonio Borg became EU commissioner

Would political candidates of all colours please stop disrupting schools with their campaigning? That includes ministers who decide to hold their "press conferences" (aka political campaign event) in schools.
