Simon Busuttil’s first days in office have shown he’s the man for the job, says Chris Said

Speaking to Sunday newspaper Illum, PN Secretary General Chris Said puts his trust in new PN leader Simon Busuttil.

Chris Said.
Chris Said.

In an interview with Sunday newspaper Illum, PN Secretary General Chris Said put his trust in new PN leader Simon Busuttil, saying that in the span of just a few days in office, Busuttil has "already successfully implemented changes into the Nationalist Party while at the same time respecting the party's 130-year history".

"There is no doubt in my mind that his nine years of experience in the European Parliament will help him in this mission, which was entrusted to him by fellow PN councillors just days ago," Said added, invoking a Maltese expression to express his vote of confidence in the party's new leader: "the morning shows you what the rest of the day will be like".

"And Simon Busuttil's first days in office have clearly demonstrated that he is determined to strengthen the party through tireless work and by putting together a team which will ensure that the party is organised, strong and inclusive, and that it can secure the trust of the Maltese and Gozitan people."

Dear Chris,to say that Simon Busuttil first days in office shows that he's the man for the job .Is it not to wait a bit more before making a statement of this kind. At least wait until his probation period is over,or until what comes out of the Commission report.

Chris, do not join the clique ! This is what you are trying to do. Your role should have been that of a new, modern, energetic leader for PN. But you missed the bus !

Simple Simon is only good as an MEP. He is too conservative, still stuck to old, rhetoric practices !!

Wara telfa ohra fl-elezzjoni li jmiss ikun hu l-Boss. Wait and see. Checkmate.
avatar
Chris, then,at least you should have told us readers what where his biggest achievements so far.
avatar
What job? What few days? He was there all the time!
avatar
Well, if the boss gives you a job, preferring you to others, does anybody expect him to say the boss is a slimy son of a b...... or other superlatives. No. The going says, that you have to praise him to high heavens. Well, at least for now, till the next election result. Then it's all again for himself, e si salvi chi puo'.

well really its what Said is saying and thinking but not what we are thinking about Simon, and as long as Simon is leader of the opposition than that is were the Nationalist party shall stay in the backseats for the next thirty years 'please dont forget the bad results that Simon gave the nationalist party in the last elections'also Simon = Lawrence Gonzi, he was put there by lawrence not by us. So with that in mind we shall keep fighting to keep the Nationalist in the back seats till Simon resigns. VIVA MALTA

Chris Said doesn't mind the quality, he rather feels the width!
avatar
What Job may I ask?
avatar
What does he mean? That nothing has changed in the PN and business as usual for the elite oligarchy and occult string pullers?
avatar
Chris, leaving out those one man race for the leadership before the worst ever PN election result analysis report was even ready, can you tell us with his new team??? what were his best achievements so far?
avatar
With all due respect, but I feel that now even if Dr. Busuttil is not up to the job, it's a bit late now isn't it to turn back? And if it were so, is Chris Said going to say differently? Now I'm not saying that Dr. Busuttil may not be a good leader. But in my opinion this is early to say.
avatar
What a joke! Coming from a party mired in corruption! It would be best if the party addresses its financial problems and pay its workers.
avatar
Mur obsor ghalih Said! Tghidx ma kienx se jghid mod iehor. Dawn tal-PN ghadhom jahsbu li n-nies bhahen.

Well, he is BOUND to praise his new boss, let's face it, he can't do otherwise.
