Malta's GDP growth grows by 1.1% compared to previous quarter
According to Eurostat figures published on Friday, Malta, along with Estonia, had the second-highest GDP growth in the EU
Malta registered a growth in GDP that was 1.1% higher in the first quarter of 2026 when compared to the previous quarter.
According to Eurostat figures published on Friday, Malta, along with Estonia, had the second-highest GDP growth in the EU, as Denmark registered the highest growth at 1.9%.
When comparing GDP growth to the first quarter of 2025, Malta’s growth grew by 4.3%, placing second behind Denmark.
Prime Minister Robert Abela welcomed the results in a post on X.

Eurostat today show Malta's GDP growth in 2026 Q1 as 4.3%.
