Fenech Adami leaves hospital

President Emeritus Eddie Fenech Adami has been discharged from Mater Dei Hospital this morning, after undergoing a procedure in which received a pacemaker to correct his heart-beat.

The former Head of State was rushed to hospital on Wednesday after suddenly falling ill while having lunch at a restaurant in Gzira with his son Beppe and friends.

Fenech Adami was reported to have lost consciousness for some time and taken to the Gzira Health Centre before he was transferred by ambulance to Mater Dei.

According to medical bulletins issued by Mater Dei, Eddie Fenech Adami was recovering well.
