Man grievously injured in traffic accident

A 67-year-old man was rushed to Mater Dei Hospital this morning after having been involved in a collision with another vehicle in Triq Dawret, Ghaxaq, police said.

Members of the Civil Protection and an ambulance were called to the scene to give medical assistance to the drivers.

The 67-year-old driver of a Hyundai Atos suffered grievous injuries but is not in danger of dying while the other driver, aged 60 from Birkirkara who was driving a Toyota Dyna, did not require any medical assistance.

Police are investigating.
