Four-year-old boy seriously injured

A traffic accident occurred this afternoon in Naxxar Road, San Gwann between two vehicles, one of which was carrying a four-year-old Libyan boy, police said.

It resulted that a 56-year-old man from Mosta was driving his vehicle towards the San Gwann church and for some reason or other crashed into another vehicle carrying the child.

The child was rushed to Mater Dei Hospital and found to be suffering from grievous injuries.

The road was temporarily closed. Police are investigating.
