Labour responds to ‘silent Muscat’ PN billboard
‘Gonzi All Talk’ says Labour Party as it issues retort to the PN’s ‘Silent Muscat’ billboard.
The Labour Party has slammed Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi for being "all talk" and having a "record of broken promises".
The party was reacting to the Nationalist Party's latest billboard, unveiled the day before, which accused Muscat of remaining silent over what policies Labour proposes to implement if elected to government.
Announcing its billboard retort, which accuses Gonzi of being "all talk", Labour said that "Gonzi is capable of saying a great deal. He said a great deal after the election, he said a great deal afterwards, and he is still saying it."
Labour said that "despite this the only thing he has to show for it is a track record of broken promises."
Labour said that the PN's promises regarding Smart City, Income Tax reductions, and the Budget Surplus failed to materialise.
"At the same time, we have record-level debt and deficit, while [the government] failed its own targets every year throughout this legislature," Labour said.
Labour also insisted that families and businesses "are fed up of the politics of the past."
