Salesgirl escapes unhurt after hold-up on Sliema jewellery

Initial police investigation on site showed that the salesgirl was in the jewellery at around 9amwhen an armed and unidenfired person armed with a sharp and pointed instrument and asked her to hand an unidentified amount of jewellery.

On duty Magistrate Antonio Vella ordered a magisterial inquiry about the robbery and appointed various experts to assist him in the investigations on this robbery.

The police were also conducting their own investigations on the robbery.
