Power has been cut to another 100 boathouses in Armier as Enemalta continues its crackdown on electricity theft. The raid was one of two that followed the closing of a window offered to boathouse owners in which to apply for a temporary power supply.

Sources have informed this newspaper of recordings that allegedly show persons in high government positions attempting to obscure the truth of what happened on the night of the 19 November, when a minister's driver shot at a civilian's car.

Prime Minister Joseph Muscat said that one person has been employed each day since Labour's election to government. Speaking at a political event in Birkirkara, Muscat said that Malta now has the third lowest unemployment rate in Europe.

The three Nationalist MEPs have accused their Labour colleagues of voting on a report on sexual and reproductive rights, which is widely understood to include abortion, against government instructions. The Labour MEPs rebutted with an accusation that their counterparts shunned a motion on poverty and underdevelopment.
