'Opposition is against everything, at all costs' - PL

Labour says PN leader Simon Busuttil had "managed to be negative in a week where the country has reported the second least rate of unemployment in the EU and the largest economic growth in ten years.”

The PL has dismissed the Opposition’s claim that its government has offered no solutions for healthcare, traffic and crime.

In a reply to criticisms made by the Opposition Nationalist Party on Radio 101 this morning, the Labour Party has said that PN leader Simon Busuttil “had managed to be negative in a week where the country has reported the second least rate of unemployment in the EU and the largest economic growth in ten years.”

“The Opposition is as usual, against everything, at all costs,” said the PL, pointing to the health sector, which it says was attacked by the opposition leader during the interview. The sector had been “left in a disastrous state by the Government which he [Busuttil] used to form part of and which this governemnt today is repairing through private investment, and which is also being objected to by the Leader of the Opposition.”

"The public was getting used to taking Simon Busuttil and his Opposition with a pinch of salt, as he talks a lot but has no plans to implement his words", reads the statement.
