A Nationalist government would dishonour an 18-year agreement with Electrogas if it means cheaper electricity, said Opposition leader Simon Busuttil. He was presenting the Opposition's reaction to the week-old Budget 2016 and also took the government to task on the traffic issue, fuel prices and the publication of two differing budget documents.

Busuttil also criticized the government on its apparent lack of 'a roadmap' for the health sector as well as the increase in poverty and a dearth of the schools promised in the electoral manifesto.

The Libyan ex-partner of Margaret Mifsud, a lawyer who was found murdered in her car, had taken the opportunity to attack her after she went out with work colleagues, the court heard. Nizar el Gadi is facing charges for the 2012 murder of Mifsud.
