Anticipating hours of non-stop driving on Malta’s upcoming four-lane carriageways as part of a €700 million widening project, one Ferrari driver bit the dust early on after sending his car into a roadside ditch.

The crash took place Saturday morning on Triq Buqana in Mgarr.

MaltaToday is not yet informed on the type of Ferrari and who the owner is.

Brand new models usually cost anything upwards of €180,000.

The driver of the Ferrari was said to have lost control of the vehicle, driving the car straight into a ditch. Nobody was injured in the incident, where workers were already on site having started early in the day to continue the roadworks.
