Ann Gatt makes some marinated tuna, Asian style.

Ingredients

6 fresh yellow-­ n tuna steaks

6 tablespoons fresh coriander, ­ nely chopped

6 teaspoons fresh ginger, grated.

3 garlic cloves

Juice of 4 limes

1/3 cup soy sauce

¼ cup honey

Salt and pepper

¼ cup extra virgin olive oil

6 tablespoons sultanas

6 tablespoons sesame seeds

Wasabi to taste

3 Avocado pears, halved and thinly sliced

Directions

1) For 2 to 4 hours, marinate the tuna in the coriander, ginger, lime juice, soy sauce, honey, wasabi, sesame seeds, oil, salt and pepper.

2) Heat a griddle on a medium ­ ame and lightly sear the tuna steaks.

3) Place the steaks on a bed of avocadoes, and add the sultanas. Reserve some of the marinade and slowly pour it over the tuna steaks while hot.
