Floriana back to winning ways

With this defeat Rabat remain at the bottom of the standing while Floriana move up to fourth place on eight points.

The first half remained goalless with both teams having few chances on goal.

Floriana started off the second half on the attack and managed to score the first goal of the match on the 58th minute.

Off a freekick by Aman Verma, Aaron Brown beat the goalkeeper Jonathan Azzopardi with his header.

Floriana were close to scoring their second goal on the 63rd minute but Ivan Carapic cleared Owen Bugeja's shot of the goal line.

Floriana doubled their lead on the 71st minute. Duncan Pisani served Trevor Pisani who then went on to beat the goalkeeper with his low shot.

The Greens did not have to wait long before they sealed all three points as just one minute later they made it 3-0. Trevor Cilia served Duncan Pisani who then beat goalkeeper Jonathan Azzopardi with his shot.

On the 83rd minute, both teams were reduced to ten-men after referee Kevin Azzopardi sent off Floriana's Aaron Brown and Rabat's Patrick Borg following a incident between the two players.

Trevor Cilia was voted BOV Player of the Match.
