Mosta add more misery to Rabat

This victory moves Mosta up to third place with Hibernians. Rabat on the other hand are in a crisis as this defeat brought their tally to six defeats in eight matches.

Rabat had the first chance on goal on the 18th minute when Manuel Moral Fuster had a great shot on goal, but goalkeeper Justin Haber was spot on to keep it out of goal.

Mosta had better luck in front of goal as on the 26th minute they managed to take the lead. A perfect freekick by Danail Mitev left no chance for goalkeeper Jonathan Azzopardi.

Mosta came close to scoring again just four minutes later. A shot by Obinna Obiefule going into the net but David Azzopardi managed to clear the ball off the goal line.

Mosta started to put more pressure on Rabat and on the 39th minute off a cross by Ousseni Zongo, Obinna Obiefule would not be denied when he headed the ball past goalkeeper Jonathan

Azzopardi to make the score 2-0.

Mosta came close to scoring another goal when Ousseni Zongo was denied by the woodwork eight minutes into the second half.

Mosta continued to dominate the match and kept most of the possession to protect their two-goal lead until the final whistle.

Ousseni zongo was voted BOV Player of the Match.
