Sliema fight back from behind to defeat Qormi

Sliema Wanderers fought back when they were one goal down to defeat Qormi 3-1 and move up to fourth place in the BOV Premier League standings.

Both teams started the first half sharing goal scoring chances.
Qormi's Sebastian Aurelio Siritto missed a great chance on the fifth minute while sliema Beppe Muscat had his shot from close range saved by goalkeeper Matthew Farrugia.
As the first half was coming to and end, Qormi managed to take the lead in added time. Like Sciberras served Joseph Chetcuti who then beat goalkeeper Glen Zammit with his shot from close range.
Sliema had to wait till the 69th minute until they equalized. The referee awarded Sliema a penalty shot after Alessio Cassar handled the ball inside the area. From the penalty spot, Ivan Woods found the back of the net with his shot to make the score 1-1.
On the 79th minute, Sliema managed to go ahead when Alain Faccini scored from close range after goalkeeper Matthew Farrugia partially saved a shot by Alex Muscat.
In added time, Sliema made sure they collected all three points when Alain Faccini scored his second goal of the day.
