Tarxien defeat Floriana to register first victory

Floriana controlled the match from the start with goal scoring chances by Diogo Pinheiro and Bogdanovic.

On the 13^th minute it would be Tarxien that takes the lead. Luca Martinelli’s shot from the left easily beat goalkeeper Daniel Hanford.

Floriana continued were they left off and pushed forward to try to score the equaliser.

Floriana’s hopes of collecting three points from this match were dented when Tarxien scored their second goal of the match on the 71^st minute.  Ronaille Calheira Seara had his shot hit the woodwork before it ended at the back of the net.

Floriana managed to reduce the gap just seven minutes later when off a cross by Igor Coronado towards Diogo Pinheiro de Sousa the latter easily beat goalkeeper Nicky Vella with his shot.

Nicky Vella was voted BOV Player of the Match.
