Hibernians made their intentions clear from the start and went ahead after nine minutes. Clayton Failla was brought down inside the penalty area and the referee ordered a penalty. From the eleven metres mark, Failla made no mistake and finished past Matthew Calleja Cremona.

The Paolites made it 2-0 five minutes from half time. Jackson Lima’s cross from a corner was met by Andrei Agius who headed home.

Mark Miller’s side made it 3-0 on the 59th minute. Following a fast counter, Marko Sahanek went inside the penalty area before serving Jackson Lima whose low shot went behing Calleja Cremona.

Six minutes later, Hibs nearly scored again. Sahanek went on a fast run that saw him going past Calleja Cremona, but mistimed his shot and finished over.
