Conclusion Eskilstuna V75

Driver Stefan Soderkvist and trainer Ulf Stenstromer walked aways as champions with smiles on their faces as this Saturday’s V75 meant two wins. Another surprise was the outsider 4 Dust All Over and Thomas Uhrberg who surprised everyone when winning in V75-3. A short summary of each race is following.

V75-1
It was an exciting first leg of the V75. 5 Asko Toy and Jorma Kontio were in the lead for the entirety of the race but eventually got beaten by 6 Caballion and Fredrik B. Larsson with only a few meters before the finishing line. Disappointingly last year’s Elitloppet winner Ake Svanstedt and 8 Niller, the favorite in this race was not even close to winning.
Winning odds: 3,59.

V75-2
Yet another exciting race. The big favorite 8 Sanity and driver Johnny Takter took the lead right from the start and looked unbeatable. 4 Manna and Thomas Uhrberg tried to challenge the leader but galloped. Instead it was 1 Ewe Palema and Stefan Soderkvist who managed win with a tiny marginal on the home stretch.
Winning odds: 6,01.

V75-3
80% of the marks speaks its own language, 6 Beanie M.M. and Torbjorn Jansson was by far the biggest favorite in this race. Imagine the surprise on everyone’s faces when the outsider 4 Dust All Over and Thomas Uhrberg came from nowhere and stole it all on the home stretch. Major surprise.

V75-4
This very fast paced race ended up being a duel between 3 Mr Wade driven by Peter Ingves and the favorite 1 Agards Ludde driven by Ake Svanstedt. In the end 1 Agards Ludde came out as the victor when 3 Mr Wade lost focus and almost ended up galloping at the home stretch.

V75-5
A slow paced race that ended up with an extremely tight and exciting home-stretch with four horses each giving it their best shot, 7 Belinda Sign, 5 April April, 1 Good As Princess and 3 Zvetlana Boko. Eventually Stefan Soderkvist took his second win with 1 Good As Princess by a tiny margin.

V75-6
This race saw the much tipped 3 Raja Mirchi driven by Lutfi Kolgjini galloping from the start to the disappointment of many. 5 Amaru Boko and Jorma Kontio took the lead early on with the favorite 2 Kadett C.D. and Robert Bergh taking death’s seat. In the end 5 Amaru Boko proved to be unbeatable and won rather easy.

V75-7
The final race of the V75 saw 11 Rakas and Per Lennartson winning after a quick spurt on the home stretch. The favorite 3 Sharapova and Olle Goop got a tough race and used all his strength trying to get into positon.
