Dino Zammit is BOV Waterpolo Premier League’s Top Performer

Andreas Galea clinches First Division Award

San Giljan's new signing Dino Zammit has repaid the ‘Giljanizi's' trust in him with top-class performances that have landed him the BOV Waterpolo Player of the Month award for the Premier League for June 2013.

Zammit was instrumental in San Giljan's victory over Exiles, where he netted no fewer than 7 goals to keep the pressure on leaders Neptunes. He was also the author of six out of San Giljan's nine goals against Neptunes.

It is to be noted that Zammit, currently representing Malta in the European Water-polo Championship qualifying tournament, is the first player to break Neptunes's Stevie Camilleri's strong-hold on the BOV award since its inception two years ago.

Ta' Xbiex youngster Andreas Galea is making a name for himself in the First Division while also featuring strongly in the U17 National Team.

Consistent positive performances and a killer instinct in front of goal, Andreas has become a permanent fixture on the Ta' Xbiex score-sheet, who unfortunately where on the receiving end of Andreas's 6 goals in the non-league match against the National U17 team.

Anthony Scicluna, Chief Officer at Bank of Valletta presented the Awards to Dino Zammit and Andreas Galea in the presence of ASA president Joe Caruana Curran.
