Kurt Micallef joins The Phoenicia Malta as Senior Sous Chef

The Phoenicia Malta has appointed acclaimed local chef Kurt Micallef as Senior Sous Chef, bringing extensive experience from Michelin-starred restaurants and some of Malta’s leading culinary establishments

The Phoenicia Malta has welcomed Kurt Micallef to its kitchen team, who joins as Senior Sous Chef.

Chef Kurt trained at Le Cordon Bleu in London and across Michelin-starred restaurants in Europe, including Belgium’s In De Wulf, where he built a classically French repertoire and developed a passion for locally sourced, exceptional food.

Years of hands-on experience followed, with senior posts in some of Malta’s most respected kitchens – Noni, Risette, Ion the Harbour and, most recently, Fernando’s.
