John Baldacchino

John Baldacchino is an academic, essayist and visual artist. He specializes in art, education, philosophy, and Mediterranean studies. He is the author of numerous books, refereed and journalistic articles. Though his books are mostly focused on academic themes, he is also the author of volumes that reflect on Maltese thought and politics. These include Democracy Without Confession: Philosophical Conversations on the Maltese Political Imaginary (Allied Press 2015, with Kenneth Wain), Sejjieħ il-Ħsieb: Limitu u Ħelsien (KKM 2020) and Secular Reflections. On a nation’s anomaly (Midsea 2024).
