Cyclist suffers grievous injuries after collision in Imġarr

A cyclist has suffered grievous injuries after falling from his bicycle and striking an Iveco van.

The incident occurred in Triq il-Mosta, Imġarr, at around 7am.

A medical team was called to the scene, and the man was later certified as having suffered serious injuries.

The van was being driven by a 45-year-old man at the time of the incident.

Preliminary investigations indicated that the cyclist fell for reasons that are not yet established, causing him to collide with the oncoming vehicle.

Police investigations are ongoing.
