Motorcyclist, passenger hospitalised after Birgu crash

Two people were hospitalised on Sunday after a motorcycle collided with a car in Birgu.

The accident took place at around 2pm on Triq San Lawrenz.

Police said preliminary investigations found that a Kia Picanto driven by a 56-year-old Birżebbuġa resident collided with a Triumph Tiger motorcycle driven by a 65-year-old German man.

The motorcycle was also carrying a female passenger.

Both the motorcyclist and his passenger were taken to hospital.

Their condition is not yet known.
