Court orders postponement of Lisa Maria Zahra’s funeral

Funeral of 15-year-old Lisa Maria Zahra who died in tragic fall postponed on court’s order

The funeral of 15-year-old Lisa Maria Zahra, which was expected to be held today in Valletta, has been postponed on a magistrate’s order, MaltaToday has learnt.

The court decided to postpone the funeral of Zahra, who tragically lost her life in a fall from Dingli cliffs on Wednesday, to ensure that all investigations are concluded before her burial.

Asked to give more information about the court order, a police spokesperson said that a magisterial inquiry is under way and the police are not in a position to divulge information.

Zahra was found dead at the bottom of Dingli cliffs on Wednesday afternoon. She had been reported missing along with Erin Tanti, 23, who is in critical condition at Mater Dei Hospital, having been rescued from the same spot where Zahra was found.
