Man found in pool of blood hospitalised

A foreigner was hospitalised after being critically injured on Saturday, the police said.

The incident occurred in Triq ix-Xatt, Pieta, at about 6:30pm, when the man was found in a pool of blood outside an apartment block. The man was rushed to hospital where he was intiially certified to be suffering from life threatening injuries.

Police said that the man is no longer suffering from critical injuries but is still suffering from grievous injuries.

The cause of the accident is not yet known. Police investigations are ongoing, while an inquiry is being held to establish the cause of the man’s injuries.
