Lifeless body of man found in Valletta residence

A 34-year-old man was found dead in Valletta on Saturday evening.

Police were alerted to the body at 8pm, where it made the discovery in a residence on St Nicholas Street.

Neighbours told the police it had been days since the man was last seen.

The body was in a state of decomposition when it was found. Magistrate Neville Camilleri has launched an inquiry, and an autopsy will be carried out.

The investigation is being handled by Valletta police and Drug Squad officers.
