Passenger grievously injured in early morning crash

A 45-year-old woman was grievously injured after being involved in a crash during the early hours of this morning.

The incident occurred this morning at around 4am in Triq Aldo Moro, Marsa, when a Honda Civic driven by a 23-year-old man from Paola crashed into a Peugeot Bipper driven by a 40-year-old man from St Lucia, who was slightly injured in the crash.

Police said that at the time of the incident, three passengers were in the Honda Civic. Two of the passengers – a 22-year-old woman from Cospicua, and a 26-year-old woman from Mosta – suffered slight injuries. The other passenger – a 45-year-old woman from Attard – was grievously injured in the crash.

The driver of the Honda Civic escaped unharmed.

Police investigations are ongoing.
