Man grievously injured in Mdina accident

A man was grievously injured when the car he was driving crashed into a roundabout early this morning.

Police said the incident occurred in Triq il-Belt Valletta, Mdina at around 2:50am when a Volkswagen Golf driven by a 37-year-old man from Birkirkara lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a roundabout.

The man was admitted to Mater Dei Hospital, where he was later certified to be suffering from grievous injuries.

His injuries are not life-threatening.

Police investigations are ongoing.
