Man hospitalised after being trapped in a well

At around 9:30 tis morning, police at the Zejtun station were informed that their assistance was required as a person was trapped in a well in Triq il-Lellux, Ghaxaq.

The 62-year-old man had been working on the empty well when his ladder broke. By the time the police arrived, the man had managed to climb out, albeit injuring himself.

An ambulance was called which took the man to receive medical treatment, and shortly afterward it was declared that he was suffering from grievous injuries.
