Woman grievously injured in jump

A woman was grievously injured yesterday afternoon as she jumped into the sea in Xewkija, Gozo.

The woman, 27, who is from the United Arab Emirates and resides in Sliema, suffered grievous injuries yesterday after jumping into the sea at Mgarr ix-Xini at about 3:00pm.

The woman was conveyed to Gozo General Hospital by ambulance where it was later declared that the nature of her injuries were serious but she was not in danger of dying.
