A car caught fire yesterday night shortly before midnight, damaging the façade and a door of a building.

The incident took place at 11:45 on Triq il-Gnien, Gharghur, with no injuries being reported.

Members of the Civil Protection Department were dispatched on site to extinguish the flames.

Police sources told MaltaToday that the cause of the fire was still unclear.

Magistrate Charmaine Galea has launched an inquiry.
