Man’s lifeless body extracted from Blue Lagoon waters

A man’s body was pulled out of the sea this afternoon after people noticed him floating in Blue Lagoon, Comino.

Members of the Armed Forces of Malta were dispatched to assist in extracting the victim, a 61-year-old Polish national, from the sea, after which a doctor and a medical team administered first aid. However, the victim was pronounced dead.

Magistrate Paul Coppini has ordered an inquiry into the case.
