Maltese elected Vice-President of EPP Youth
Ryan Callus, International Secretary of the Moviment Żgħażagħ Partit Nazzjonalista (MŻPN), the youth political organisation of the Nationalist Party, was elected Vice-President of the Youth of the European People’s Party (YEPP).
At the election, held in Berlin during the YEPP Congress last Saturday, Ryan Callus registered the highest number of votes, equivalent to 99% of 195 valid votes cast. The German and Spanish candidates on behalf of Junge Union of Germany and Nuevas Generaciones of Spain respectively, Benedict Pottering and Andrea Levy Soler, also obtained an equal number of votes and were elected YEPP Vice-Presidents.

Reinhard Barnthaler from Junge Österreichische Volkspartei of Austria – 98%
Sara Skyttedal from Kristdemokratiska Ungdomsforbundet of Sweden – 94%
Emanuele Occhipinti from Giovani per la Liberta’ of Italy – 91%
Gunārs Elksnis from YLPP of Latvia – 84%
Charalambos Stavrides from Nedisy of Cyprus – 78%
Konstantinos Kyranakis from Onned of Greece – 75%
Csaba Domotor, candidate on behald of Fidelitas of Hungary, was elected President of YEPP.
YEPP is the youth organisation of the European People's Party. It brings together more than 50 Centre-Right youth political organisations from 38 countries all over Europe. Founded in 1997, YEPP has developed into the largest political youth organisation in Europe.
Apart from being active within the structures of the mother party, the EPP, it is committed in a number of other international arenas.
One of its main objectives is to maintain good contacts within the political family, provide ground for training, discussion and cooperation and prepare the younger generation to lead tomorrow's Europe. This runs parallel to its mission to stimulate further integration in Europe.
