Triq Għajn Dwieli closed to traffic due to safety risks

Triq Għajn Dwieli in Bormla has been closed to traffic in both directions due to fallen stone near the tunnel.

Transport Malta published an emergency warning on Thursday afternoon, telling drivers to use alternative routes.

TM said the emergency road closure was due to fallen stone near the tunnel, posing a safety risk.

Malta is being battered by strong winds on Thursday, which are only set to get stronger as the day passes by.

According to the Met Office, the winds are expected to become very strong and possibly reach gale force in exposed areas of the islands.
