PN approves new candidate for general election
Edmond Cuschieri will contest the election on the Nationalist Party ticket on the 8th district
The Nationalist Party has approved another candidate to contest on its behalf in the next general election, bringing the total number of candidates up to 28.
During an executive committee meeting on Tuesday evening, the party approved Edmond Cuschieri as a candidate on the 8th district.
Cuschieri, 48, is a lawyer and former police officer from Birkirkara. This is his first time contesting an election with the Nationalist Party.
PN leader Alex Borg thanked all candidates approved to date as well as others who have already expressed interest in forming part of the Nationalist Party’s team for the general election.
The party has approved 28 candidates for the general election so far, although the party is still identifying and approving other candidates.
