In the Press: Mallia denies Sheehan was his canvasser in last election campaign

Minister Manuel Mallia denied yesterday that his driver, Paul Sheehan, was one of his canvassers during the last election campaign. Mallia insisted that Sheehan was assigned to him as a driver and was not hand-picked. Sources in Sliema however dispute this claim, saying they often saw Sheehan accompany the minister during his campaign. 

In-Nazzjon

A police sergeant, stationed at the Gzira and Sliema police stations, is expected to be charged with tampering with evidence in the Paul Sheehan case. In what In-Nazzjon calls an attempt at a frame-up, Leroy Balzan Engerer is being accused of deleting part of Sheehan's statement to the police on the night of the shooting.

In response to a challenge from PN deputy leader Mario de Marco, minister Chris Cardona named 60 new investment projects approved by the Malta Industrial Parks. Included in these were projects in the digital, pharmaceutical and engineering sectors.
