In the Press: Ombudsman's report says government should not exclusively decide MPs' remuneration

The winning bidder for the Marsa Shipbuilding site is due to be announced soon, according to government sources. While 28 entities expressed interest in the site, only six submitted bids.

Clint Camilleri, mayor of Qala, was the person who requested that San Blas bay be cleaned up, after strong winds pushed large amounts of algae onto the beach. He specificed however that his request to the Cleansing Department was only to have the algae removed, not to have the beach cleaned up with large machinery.

The International Air Transport Association has said that cheaper oil prices will translate to cheap air fares. However the timeline for this price change is as yet unknown.

A report drawn up by the Ombudsman, Auditor General and the Chief Electoral Commissioner concludes that the remuneration of those in political office should not be a decision solely taken by government.
