In the Press: No investigation into sharing of login details among police

A court heard yesterday, during the compilation of evidence against officer Leeroy Balzan, how police officers would frequently use the login details of their colleagues to gain access to the incident report system. Though the practice is illegal, no investigations have been carried out.

Libyan demonstrators have said that the government is making a big mistake by backing the Charge d'Affaires appointed by Tobruk-based Libyan government, an appointment the demonstrators say is illegitimate.

A New Year's Eve event in a Paceville establishment has set different entrance fees for men and for women. Men wishing to attend must pay €110, compared to the €70 entrance fee for women. The event poster justifies this price difference by saying that men will, on average, drink more at the open bar.

Transport minister Joe Mizzi has promised a 'soft entry' for the new bus system, which will begin its gradual introduction on 8 January. Mizzi said that the Arriva buses would be phased out and that no doubledecker buses had been ordered.
