Qawra police are investigating after man falls while riding his bike

A 45-year-old English man was taken to Mater Dei Hospital last night suffering from grievous injuries after falling from a height of about one storey while riding a bike.

At about 8:30pm Qawra district police were informed that a person had been injured in the area known as “tal-Qammieh” in Mellieha.

The man was found on the ground and was brought up by members of the Civil Protection Department before being taken to Mater Dei Hospital where he was certified as suffering from grievous injuries.

An investigation by the Qawra district police is still ongoing.
