Technical issues cause seven Air Malta flights to be delayed

Air Malta has apologised for inconveniences resulting from technical difficulties which caused the delay of seven flights

Seven Air Malta flights will be delayed today due to technical reasons on one of the airline’s aircraft, according to a company statement.

Air Malta said that the aircraft in question is currently being serviced in Malta by the airline’s engineers, adding that the airline is giving assistance to affected passengers.

“The airline is doing its utmost to minimise these delays and inconveniencies to its passeng,ers and is offering its affected clients the required assistance,” the statement read.

The affected flights include:

  • KM612/3 (Malta-Rome-Malta), which will be delayed by approximately five hours, and will depart at 01:30pm
  • KM624/5 (Malta-Milan-Malta), which will be delayed by approximately two hours, and will depart at 03:05pm
  • KM490/1 (Malta-Zurich-Malta), which will be delayed by approximately one hour and 15 minutes, and will depart at 03:40pm
  • KM514/5 (Malta-Vienna-Malta), which will be delayed by approximately one hour and 30 minutes, and will depart at 05:50pm
  • KM208/9 (Malta-Cardiff-Malta), which will be delayed by approximately one hour and 40 minutes, and departs 6:45pm
  • KM174/5 (Malta-Birmingham-Malta), which will be delayed by approximately two hours and 20 minutes, and departs at 08:30pm
  • KM642/3 (Malta-Catania-Malta), which will be delayed by approximately one hour and 10 minutes, and departs at 09:45pm
