Gourmet Today launches new website
Gourmet Today has expanded to include a television show, aired every Friday on TVM and a new website www.gourmettoday.recipes.

Gourmet Today launched a new website, www.gourmettoday.recipes yesterday, Malta’s first website dedicated solely to food, including recipes by local chefs, local restaurant reviews.
The site provides access to recipes and videos from the new TV show which also premiered yesterday on TVM.
The television show focuses on one local ingredient and features recipes by Sean Gravina, with the help (or distraction) of much-loved television star Moira Delia, which bring out the best of that one ingredient. Pippa Mattei and Michael Diacono also provide their more traditional take on the star ingredient.
Recipes are available on the new site with pictures and videos, as well as full episodes of the show.
The first episode features, aired yesterday at 18:50 featured olive oil, a under-appreciated local product. Despite the fact that olives grow so well in Malta, very little olive oil is produced here. And though we consume plenty of olive oil, very little is local. Sammy Cremona of Wardija olive oils take Sean and Moira on a tour of the olive groves and walk them through their first press of the season. Sean then takes the olive oil back to his kitchen and makes an easy olive bread as well as pistachio and olive oil cake with orange and lavender mascarpone and roasted grapes. The website also features other recipes, all created by local chefs as well as restaurant reviews of Gourmet Today’s favourite eateries. Check out the Kitchen Basics video range, where no job is too small to be done perfectly. Master some skills and cook yourself into a better chef.
There will also be weekly competitions where foodies can win anything from meals at restaurants, cookbooks, hampers, weekend breaks and more.
