Miccoli to leave Palermo
Fabrizio Miccoli has confirmed yesterday that today’s Coppa Italia final against Inter will be his last match for Palermo.
The captain has spent much of this season on the bench and had this has raised question marks about his future, which now seem to have been resolved.
“The Coppa Italia Final against Inter will be my last game in a Palermo jersey,” he said of the Sunday night clash.
“In 10 days you’ll know where I will play next season, as I have already made my decision.
“I just hope to step on to the field at the Stadio Olimpico so that I can end my Rosanero career as a protagonist.
“I promised the fans that we would win the Coppa Italia and I intend to keep that pledge.”
Javier Pastore could also be moving away in the summer after interest from Inter, Roma, Milan, Barcelona and Manchester United.
“Pastore is ready for a top club. It depends on him whether he’ll decide to leave, but these are important decisions to be made with his family.”
